Job Details
We are seeking a 2nd Shift Supervisor to support plant operations and safety initiatives under the guidance of the Plant Manager.
This role involves overseeing shift operations, personnel, and fostering a collaborative team environment to achieve production, quality control, and safety objectives.
The Shift Supervisor will also manage equipment maintenance, shipping, receiving, and policy administration
Supervise shift employees, including both regular and temporary staff.
Assign tasks to meet production schedules, monitor progress, and adjust assignments as needed.
Ensure product quality and oversee machine setup and adjustments.
Identify opportunities to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
Implement measures to enhance efficiency and safety in the workplace.
Motivate workers to achieve production goals and maintain accurate production and time records.
Coordinate activities between shifts and reconcile production figures.
Report safety concerns and maintain adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.
Uphold hygiene, housekeeping, and environmental standards in production areas.
Foster positive relationships with other departments and communicate effectively.
Enforce company policies, safety regulations, and human resource procedures.
Conduct performance appraisals, provide counseling, and ensure proper employee training.
Resolve work-related issues and lead by example to maintain high standards.
Safety :
Ensure compliance with Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) and Environmental Health and Safety protocols.
Qualifications :
3-5 years of supervisory experience in a plant production environment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents, composing reports, and following instructions.
Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office; experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Basic math, reading, and writing abilities.
